Mateo Rueda has been teaching music lessons since the early age of 16. He currently teaches voice, piano, guitar, and cello to children and adults. Mateo has a gift for identifying little things that keep his students motivated. He enjoys inspiring a love for music in his students.

Mateo is an actor, singer, and multi-instrumentalist who holds a Bachelor in Fine Arts in musical theatre from The University of Memphis. He has worked professionally as a performer in regional theatres across the country with roles including Nigel in Something Rotten! and Jacob in La Cage Aux Folles.

To Mateo, every song tells a story, whether it is lyrical or instrumental, musical theatre, pop/rock, classical, or jazz. His goal is to help his students master the technical elements of a song while discovering creative ways of expressing themselves.
